 ACTING

Julia Marie Black received her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Fredonia State University. She began performing professionally as a magician’s assistant when she was in middle school and began acting professionally at the age of 16 at the Cider Mill Playhouse.

Her favorite roles include "Juliet" in Romeo and Juliet in the Pioneer Summer Theatre Festival, "Ophelia" in Hamlet in The Adirondack Lakes Theatre Festival and "P.B." in One Slight Hitch at the Cider Mill Playhouse.

As an actor, Julia has also had the immense pleasure of performing in her own written works as "Angie" in workshop productions of Everything Feels Like the End of the World at Main Street Studios in Fredonia, NY and at The Phelps Mansion in Binghamton, NY. She also played the role of "Jamie" in Don't Be a Stranger (2021), a short film with she co-wrote.
